The article discusses the trend of circulation of artists from indigenous and minority peoples of Siberia to render orthodox images. The main focus is on the national art. Analysis of paintings by artists from among the Yakut, Evenki, Nenets, Khakassian ethno-cultural groups is that the tradition of the Orthodox culture is not alien to the national masters. That’s Orthodox culture, in particular the tradition of icon painting, was largely determined by the specific national creativity of artists. It was revealed that the basis of ethnic culture is the idea of artistic philosophical principles of coexistence of two cultural spaces: on the one hand, the values of the Orthodox culture, on the other - a specific ethno-cultural values of ethnic communities. This trend demonstrates the desire of national artistic community to the ethnic integration and mobilization for the entry into the mainstream of development not only of the history of art, but also in the general multicultural space.
