VALUE OF THE CINEMA FOR FORMATION OF THE RUSSIAN NATIONAL IDENTITY

The problem of a conceptual framework existing in a domestic discourse, concerning the terms «nation» and «ethnos» is considered, attempt of their demarcation is made. As one of the most significant means in formation of social reality the cinema is selected, its constructive opportunities are considered. Possibilities of a cinema in the sphere of construction of ethnic and national identities on the example of the movie “Cuckoo” are analyzed. The main components which need to pay attention in the process of construction of identity are designated: development of appropriate concepts and solution of ideological questions; use of constructivist opportunities of a cinema; reinforcement and addition of construction of identity realized by means of a cinema, construction through other forms of art, political and media discourses.
