THE ORIGINS OF ECOLOGICAL DESIGN

Ecological design offers projective tools to solve actual problems of coexistence between humans and the natural environment. Like any social phenomenon, it is necessary to consider in chronological context. Formation of ecological design trends have a long history. This article discusses the origins of ecological design, which is organized into three groups: the humanities, the natural sciences and art. Familiarization and understanding of the prerequisites of this modern design trends necessary to practitioners and future designers, as well to environmental experts and design education. Environmental design is an ideological concept and system of principles and methods of design, and the actual design work, and the objects that make up the human environment. The material contribute understanding of historical determination and diversity of the problem.
