HISTORIOGRAPHICAL OVERVIEW OF SCIENTIFICAL-PHILOSOPHICAL CONCEPTIONS IN URBAN ANTHROPOLOGY XIX – FIRST HALF XX C.

This paper provides an overview of urban concepts in its infancy and development. Considered scientific texts of XIX and early XX century of key figures in social philosophy, anthropology and cultural anthropology, investigating problems of the city. In the first half of the paper outlines the basis for the study, which is denoted by the subject of the study, problems. The main content of the article – the identification of conditions for forming the subject of urban anthropology, as well as the monitoring of the process of its evolution. Piecemeal consideration of the history of urban planning leads to the conclusion of a long crystallization of subject of science because its over-complicated. Also there is on the rise toolkit in urban methodology – to the traditional empirical observation and measurement were added formalized, systematic and quantitative approaches to data analysis.
