Held philosophical examination of the relationship picture of the world post-industrial era of the XX century and its appearance in the musical art of the designated period. The study establishes the provision that the epochal moods, attitudes and feelings are of transcendental nature. This setting opens up a cognitive perspective research culture by the description of one of its forms - music. The object of research is the music - as the most metaphysical realm of refraction philosophical intuitions, ontological basis, the embodiment of pure procedural aspect, temporality. The subject of philosophical reception are compositions and works of post-modern composers, machinery and tools, ways of transmission of image and concept of time. The results of studying music as the embodiment of temporality views and feelings of the era, was the discovery of a whole complex of temporary views that are associated with different ontological bases of composers, thinkers. This conclusion is illustrated discovered transformation in the mentality of the epoch - openness and diversity, constructiveness and analyticity, affect and expressiveness.
