BIODEGRADABLE POLYMER COMPOSITION FOR MODELING ART

The widespread use of synthetic plastic materials causes serious hazards to the environment, therefore in the past few decades, there has been a marked advance in the development of biodegradable plastics. One of the perspective ways to create biodegradable materials is the development of polymer composites based on synthetic and natural polymers. Starch is one of the most studied and promising raw materials for the production of biodegradable plastics, because starch is quite cheap, abundant, and widely available. In this paper composite materials based on high molecular polysaccharides and synthetic aqueous dispersions and the efficiency of their use for the manufacture of decorative elements have been studied. The structure of polymeric compositions have been studied by method of optical microscopy. The method of water absorption established ability of composite materials to biodegradation in the environment. Вiodegradability of the composite under the action of micromycetes have been established.
