POLICING THE EUROPEAN UNION LAW: HISTORY OF FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE LEGAL REGULATION OF THE INDUSTRY

The article examines the legal regulation of the organization and activities of police systems leading democratic countries in Europe, studied the main sources of Police Law of the European Union. A list of legal institutions, which should be considered as structural parts of police law. It is concluded that further study of the European Union police law, its object, method and sources will contribute to the creation of effective mechanisms for the protection of public order and public safety in different countries, further harmonization of EU law to their speedy integration into the international community and the European legal space, which in turn, will strengthen public order and public attitudes to police worldwide.
