Article contains the scientific concept opening the legal characteristic of freedom of the contract in civil law of Russia. Relevance of article is based that practically all spheres of human activity are anyway penetrated by the contractual relations, for example, in the sphere of an economic turn the contract acts as the special regulator of the commodity-money relations and is a universal form of a market exchange. The purpose of this article to survey conceptual approaches to expression of freedom of the contract. Various points of view are presented in article on what is understood as the principle of freedom of the contract, according to the Russian authors investigating civil science.
