PROTECTING THE RIGHTS OF GRADUATES FROM INSTITUTIONS FOR ORPHANS AND CHILDREN LEFT WITHOUT PARENTAL CARE AFTER THEY LEFT BOARDING SCHOLL

Actuality of the article is dictated by problems of children who left from children’s homes, boarding schools due to their poor preparation for independent living. The article presents the scientific analysis and legislation on the protection of the graduates of residential institutions, ways to improve their social adaptation. They are given following notions: social protection, self-defense, social self-defense, psychological self-defense, and also are revealed conditions ensuring the formation of socio-psychological security of orphans and children left without parental care; types of models to prepare inmates for release («Graduate Model», «Model to support children who left boarding school»). The result of this support is an efficiency expressing in adaptability, autonomy, activity and morality indexes. The author believes that the fate of orphans is largely depends on the help and support that they can rely, on the system of education that will prepare them for the independent decision of adult problems.
