The article conveys selected results of sociology research undertaken in the 2009–2012 period to reveal the attitude of different urban population categories in Krasnoyarsk Territory to representatives of foreign nationalities. The focus is given to the attitude to ethnic factor in the learning youth environment and entire adult urban population. The authors show the topical attitude of the urban population towards foreign labor migration, distinguish the urban population assessments over the information quantity and quality regarding interethnic relations rendered by different sources. The ethnic factor research of the urban population in Krasnoyarsk Territory gained a new aspect, which is the analysis of the urban residents’ assessments over the virtual social networks as the information source for interethnic attitudes. It was concluded that the urban population bears the eclectic attitude towards the representatives of foreign nationalities, thus, on the one hand, mass conscience is characterized by topical imperatives of tolerant attitude to foreign nationalities representatives; on the other hand, there is a wish to distance from the problems related to the foreign labor immigrants coming to Krasnoyarsk Territory.
