The analysis of translation of proverbs and sayings revealed that proverbial expressions conform one or another language structure. The cultural-linguistic component examination marked out significant cultural elements that could be the barrier to translation activity. The components that form cultural and linguistic proverb features are relevant to semantic matter that gives the paroemiac units its evaluative and emotional meaning and represent themselves in the national and cultural aspect. The basic ways of translation of proverbial expressions are searching for the full or partial equivalent locutions, calquing, literary translation.
