HYGIENE AS A CULTURAL-ANTHROPOLOGICAL PRACTICES FOR CONERVATION AND TRANSMISSION OF CULTURE INDIGENOUS PEOPLES OF THE NORTH, SIBERIA AND THE FAR EAST

The article deals with hygiene as a fundamental cultural practice which is necessary for the processes of social construction of ethnic identity and cultural self-identity. The authors use the methods of field research, expert interviews, focus-groups, analysis of the research literature. It is conducted the current applied research. It is proved that hygiene is a cultural practice that is associated with the human body. Corporeality, which is substantively hygienic cultural practices is an ethnic and cultural text that contains the signs and symbols of ethnic and cultural identity. Modern scholars believe that the preservation of the unique cultural heritage of Indigenous Peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East is an economic problem associated with the creation of territories of traditional nature. The authors of this paper show that a necessary condition for the cultural identity of indigenous peoples is recognition of the value belong to this ethnic group. Hygiene can be an effective cultural practices that increase the value of cultural identity and self-identity for indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and Far East.
