The article discusses concepts of the Russian culture that form the conceptual space of Russian romance. Universal characteristics of the concept and its role in the semantic chain «teхt – сoncept – culture» are determined. It is shown, that such important cultural concepts as «Prostor» (Russ. for «open spase»), «Bible», «Love» determine the meaning and content levels of Russian romance. The key concepts are represented in the article as a complex linguistic, music and cultural construction combining individual-author and ethnically dependent interpretations. The conclusion is done, that deep connections of Russian romance and Russian culture are formed by ideas about accordance the «wideness» of Russian earth and Russian soul and meaningfulness of eternal biblical values.
