THE INNOVATIVE CONCEPT OF THE DIALOGUE OF CULTURES IN THE DISCOURSE OF XIV-X INTERNATIONAL LIKHACHEV SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE

The article presents an overview of materials XIII International Likhachev Scientific Conference, held May 14-15, 2014 in Saint-Petersburg University of Humanities. Readings were considered on transformation processes in all fields of culture and various aspects of globalization of modern society. Traditionally the focus of Readings have been the most versatile contemporary discussion topics related to the contradictory trends in the development of human society, the processes of globalization, the role of human culture and education in the modern world, the problems of interfaith dialogue, tolerance and morality. Among them, a special discussion got issues related to the themes of dialogue of cultures. Educational platform of dialogue between cultures, developed and implemented by the St. Petersburg Humanitarian University of Trade Unions is an innovative elevator, which effectively updates the ideas for global peace.
