THE RATIO OF GLOBALIZATION AND GLOCALISATION IN THE CULTURE OF DAGESTAN

The urgency of studying of culture of Dagestan is caused by the influence of globalization processes and the expansion of the Arab-Muslim cultural impact. Orientation toward the Arab world, traditional religiosity become markers of «new» ethnic, cultural and regional identities modern Dagestanis. In terms of cultural globalization is advocated sacred inviolability of traditional and Islamic values. Global processes in Dagestan are accompanied by the spread of Islam, which is a deterrent Westernization of mass culture. The author substantiates important identification marker of cultural identity and belonging to the Muslim community – Ummah. Islamic identity, in different plans representing itself as antimodern embedded in the global consumer culture operates within its framework. Activity of globalization in the sphere of mass culture provokes defending local cultural identities and the formation of a particular landmark in the development of the culture of Dagestan.
