The article highlights some of the characteristic art of piano improvisation and composition jazz creativity modernity. Describes the most popular and widely used today specific tools and techniques. The author studies the path of evolution in jazz piano, conservation and development of traditions of its predecessors. The problems of creativity customize a musician - the introduction of the principles of academic jazz , folk and popular music, the original compilation of the elements and models; copyrights interpretation of known compositions . The author overlooks search of new piano sound image - jazz pianists desire to use electric keyboards, the introduction of alternative methods of sound of the piano. In conclusion, the author notes the emergence of new trends and directions, penetrating into the jazz sphere and forming processes of interaction and the development of world music genres of the XXI century.
