The article presents the materials confirming the fact that Laboratory Theatre was the first attempt in American theatre to organize a permanent creative team. This unique school-theater became the place where the American students were first taught of acting technique. During the seven years of «Lab» it was visited by about five hundred students, some of them studied for two or three years, the others took lessons for a few months, and the dissemination of Stanislavsky’s ideas in America owes a lot to the activity of «Lab» follow up students.
