«THE NOSE» BY GOGOL, SHOSTAKOVICH: TWO «AVANT-GARDE»

Тhe article provides a detailed analysis of the Opera D.D. Shostakovich’s «Тhe Nose» in terms of its facilities to the outstanding experimental specimens of Russian avant-garde music. The authors of the position analyzed Opera as a compendium of Gogol’s semantics. Emphasizing the extreme means of artistic expressiveness typical of Peru composer, which defined an experimental orientation of the Opera «Тhe Nose». Draws a parallel with the relevant aspirations of the leading writers of the second half of the 1920s - Сentury Mayakovsky, M. Bulgakov and others. Based on historical facts the authors determine the possible origins of creative ideas, realized in the present work. The emphasis on the convergence of this Opera with forms drama theatre. From the endless amplitude expressive faces of the grotesque Gogol-Shostakovich, often abundant paradoxically-polarcategories are highlighted fundamental basic principles blatant originality of the first Opera D.D. Shostakovich.
