MANIFESTATION OF TRADITIONAL FINNO-UGRIC IMAGE OF THE GREAT MOTHER IN ARTEFACTS AND MODERN ARTICLES OF USE BY FEMALES

The article describes material manifestation of semantic image of the Great Mother (Generic Goddess) – one of the main sacral images of Finno-Ugric culture - in object world. The author develops the idea about necessity to preserve that unique ethnocultural conceptual component of the image of the Great Mother, which traditional female articles - receding into the past due to global change in common cultural space and taking away rich body of national culture - contained and carried over for generations, by means of modern tangible medium. Moreover, by the example of jewelry the author demonstrates an idea that there are wide variable possibilities of creative research in terms of expansion of semantic range of design impersonating the Great Mother which will make it possible to adapt and preserve its ethnocultural conceptual image in modern articles of use by females.
