MUSLIM THEMES IN THE WORKS OF CONTEMPORARY ARTISTS OF TATARSTAN IN THE 1990’S -2000’S.

There is a process of a deeper learning and creative development of various forms of artistic heritage and of a whole folk culture in the Tatar art in 1990–2000 years. Along with the expansion of thematic range and stylistic diversity secular (easel and monumental) there was the revival of Islamic sacred art. The process of formation of a new national paradigm and restore the interrupted traditions of Muslim culture in Tatarstan, led to the revival of these traditional Muslim art types and genres, such as calligraphy and shamail. In the works of contemporary artists of Tatarstan You can see a variety of Muslim stories and myths, showing that artists are vivid examples of the interpretation of Muslim culture, the artistic heritage of the Tatar people from positions of modern aesthetic ideals and norms makes fine arts of this region original and unique.
