P.P. PASOLINI AND RUSSIAN MUSICAL CULTURE: TO THE QUESTION OF DIALOGUE

The article is devoted to dialogue research between the Russian musical culture and director P. P. Pasolini`s creative work. The Italian author destroys a stereotype of the western cinematographers: “the Russian music in the movie is a symbol of Russia”. The director`s iIntertekstualnye movies of the 60–70th years of the XX century find special relevance in the modern world of culture of a postmodernism. Pasolini creates difficult multilevel works a special part in which assigns to music. Article purpose is identification of a dialogue of the Russian and Italian cultures in the director`s creative work. Research material is the musical score of Pasolini`s feature films and also his articles, interviews, personal diaries. The Russian pieces of music which the director uses are considered in work as well in a historical context in which they arose. On the basis of the analysis of musical subjects in Pasolini’s pictures the obvious and hidden allusions on the Russian culture are revealed. Conclusions are drawn on features of specifics of the Russian music use in Pasolini’s creative work.
