CIVIL SOCIETY: THEORETICAL ASPECT

The article discusses the formation and development of civil society throughout the evolution of the development of mankind. Identifies five stages and given them feature. Attention is drawn to the new qualitatively different stage of formation of the electronic civil society in the conditions of modern globalization world. Proved position of the two models of interaction between civil society and public authorities in view of the world political practice of cooperation and confrontation. Formation and development of civil society is a continuous process. Activation of its institutions depends on the interests, both by their leaders and political elite of the state, interested in forming a positive image among the various actors of the world political process. Attention was focused on the activities of civil society in different historical periods and political regimes.
