The article talks about the poorly studied phenomenon of media pluralism. The author notes several trends of media space expanding, he includes media to a range of interest groups that constitute an alternative to political parties. The principle of pluralism is expanded simultaneously on the media, political parties and civil society organizations. The media are an integral part of civil society organizations and are able to be agents of their ideas, a kind of bridge between the government and the society. Analysis of political pluralism and media pluralism shows interconnectivity of development processes. Level of competition political subjects affects the expansion of media space that impacts on the development the political process.
